OnlyFans Owner Dies at 43

OnlyFans owner Leonid Radvinsky has passed away at the age of 43, after a long battle with cancer.

In 2018, the entrepreneur acquired Fenix International, the company that owns and operates OnlyFans, which revolutionized the pornography industry by offering a platform for content creators to reach their audience directly and allowed creators to keep 80 percent of their revenue.

Radvinsky was born in the Ukraine and raised in Chicago. He studied economics at Northwestern University before going on to start MyFreeCams, an adult webcam business. The entrepreneur had been in negotiations with various capital groups to sell the UK-based business. It is unclear if the sale will proceed, according to those close to the situation. His shares of the company have been held in a trust since 2024.

Since it was founded in 2016, OnlyFans has paid out over $25 billion to creators. Last year, the site generated $7.2 billion from users who purchased subscriptions to content creators.

Additionally, celebrities use the platform to make money from fans, like tennis player Nick Kyrgios and singer Kate Nash. In 2022, OnlyFans backed off from the plan to ban pornography from the platform and focus on its “safe for work” content from celebrities and sports fans.
